Winapp2.ini
Now that Fx 27 has landed in Aurora channel, more people will have access to this feature. It's still off by default, but can be enabled in about:config by setting browser.cache.use_new_backend to 1 When it is enabled by default (whenever that may be) user's cache directories (and structure) will change to %LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\cache2 Just a heads up for the devs, I think support for this can be implemented before the feature actually ships (which will cater to nightly/aurora users of it) winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators Nergal Posted October 29, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2013 jic can you post a temporary winapp 2 for the (few) members using aurora ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Winapp2.ini
Allegedly INI parsing was in the works a while back, though not much has been said since (and afaik it hasn't been implemented) winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

Winapp2.ini
At this point, I don't know if the new cache backend will go on to supersede the current cache directory (foregoing \cache2\ for \cache\ once it ships), but I'll update if I find out anything on that front. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
