Anabna
I'm using Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 64-bit and noticed that there are DOM storage registry entries for a large list of websites. Would it be feasible for CCleaner to clean these website entries? They are stored at the following registry location: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\windows_ie_ac_001\Internet Explorer\DOMStorage Screenshot below:
Moderators Andavari Posted September 17, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2013 You can ask if someone will create a winapp2.ini cleaner for it in the winapp2.ini topic located at: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310 That way you won't have to wait for CCleaner to officially support it. Moderators Nergal Posted September 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2013 I may well be wrong but I dont think winapp2 can touch hkclassroot .can it? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
