Backup now & backup often.It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. What error message does it give? Have you tried right-click run as admin on the installer? What anti-virus/security software do you use, could it be blocking the install? CCleaner does this on install to check if you are installing the latest version, I I have to wait 20 seconds or so sometimes untill the installer realises it cannot call out and just gives up and installs anyway. It is 4MB (megabytes) Sorry but I cannot quite make out what it says at the bottom of the screen, does it say it is downloading the pro version? Have you tried to uninstall the previous version yet? If the current install is corrupt for whatever reason, it may be preventing the new one. A new install can overwrite corrupt files, but not always. If installing in Safe Mode fails it may be worth trying to uninstall first, or even clearing out the CCleaner programs folder manually if you can't. If you try this, you can first save all your settings quite easily by going to "Options\Advanced" and check the "Save all settings to INI file" box, and then copy the "ccleaner.ini" file from CCleaners programs folder to a safe location. When you eventually get CCleaner installed, just copy the INI file back to the CCleaner folder. Just a thought EDIT: This might seem like a daft question, but it is the actual install which is sticking at 5% isn't it, and not the download process?
