SMalik
I think 'Wipe Free Space' option should be moved from 'Advanced' to 'Tools'.
Moderators Nergal Posted February 1, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2013 I'm sorry, and maybe I'm being mean, but look right above you proposed tool, and what does it say ... Drive Wiper. . . so what exactly is your suggestion? to remove wipe free space from cleaner section? while, with EVERY BIT IF MY GHOSTLY SOUL, I agree, this war was long ago fought and was lost, to the way it is now, in the times before history (c. A couple of years ago) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. SMalik
I think Wipe Free Space option should be removed from the cleaner section. Yes, there is an option under Drive Wiper to wipe free space. I think there should be two separate options, one to wipe the drive and second to wipe the free space! Moderators Nergal Posted February 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2013 why bloat the program with a relatively redundant extra tool, instead of reserving the space for future tool (a la the newly tabbed startup section) as for the removal as I said it was well discussed and in the end we were given the concessionary and redundant) tool section wiper in addition to the checkmark (to appease those like me who stated that if (big if mind you) drive wiper was going to exist it should be it's own tool and not in the routine cleanI told you we lost ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
