Super Fast
Does that link back to the same address as if you manually inputted http://192.168.1.1 in your browser address bar? Just wondering. If so, wonder how they do it?
Moderators Nergal Posted December 20, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2012 superfast what are you asking?? does what link where? And why? hazelnut's link links to…wait for it…a site with default passwords to router brands ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Super Fast
Ok, well, this is weird. On my system, that link Hazel posted goes directly to my router settings (Both in IE9 & FF 17.01). However, if input that page via proxy server, it does display router password page. Not sure why it does that on my system. Thought it was weird. Moderators DennisD Posted December 20, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 20, 2012 Hazel can do that with links. Don't ask how ... just be amazed.
Alan_B
Possibly relevant to this topic is this article about the danger of your router WIFI password being hacked https://windowssecre...ty-to-the-test/ Ok, well, this is weird. On my system, that link Hazel posted goes directly to my router settings (Both in IE9 & FF 17.01). However, if input that page via proxy server, it does display router password page. Not sure why it does that on my system. Thought it was weird. Super Fast - is there any possibility you have been hacked and your password cracked, and now you are blocked from information on default passwords for the same reason that Conficker blocked Antivirus scanning sites from its victims I love a good Conspiracy Theory
Super Fast
I don't believe that to be the case. Something in the system settings may be causing it. I will be clean-installing Windows sometime in the next month or so, which may clear it up (if it is only system settings causing it). I change a lot of things whilst experimenting with reg keys & what they do.
