Admin MrG Posted December 13, 2012 Admin Share Posted December 13, 2012 It's nearly Christmas, but that doesn't mean our developers have slowed down - hot off the press is a new version of Defraggler! Version 2.12 includes Windows 2012 Server support and a new option to prevent scheduled defrags if specific processes are running - so you can further customize your auto-defragmentation. Download Defraggler Release notes: Added Windows 2012 Server support. Added support for drives mounted as NTFS junction points. Scheduled defrags can now be prevented if specific processes are running. Improved placement of fragments larger than 100MB. Added advanced crash reporting. Updated translations. GUI and usability improvements. Minor bug fixes. eL_PuSHeR
For me this version performs exactly as v.2.11. Neither worse nor better.
rickmastfan67
I just wish the floppy drive bug could have been fixed for this version. Gets really annoying hearing it get activated when it shouldn't when switching to other drives inside of Defraggler.
redgrouse
The new version will not download correctly onto my PC. I run Windows 7 and previously have had no problems using defraggler. The file appears to download but the icon is incorrect and it asks 'OpenWith.org' when I right click on the icon. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times and used two differnt download sites.
Alan_B
There are many sites that provide Defraggler look-a-likes and possible bundle in other stuff. The only recommended alternative to Piriform.com is FileHippo.com.
