Banned toys from yesteryear

 Well, we never heard any more about it, no missing persons, no unexplained homicides, nobody dropped out of the class, so all went OK, I guess.

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.

One of the widely used toys when I was a kid were marbles.

Many gangs of kids could be seen then lying in the gutters etc trying to win that 'special' marble from the marble king of that day. The marbles were highly and imaginatively coloured and came in a range of sizes. Of course things like drains etc got in the way:)

I cannot see this being allowed today

Although world championships for marbles still take place.

I had some marbles when I was younger, though I never played the game properly.

By the time the 70s roled around I never once saw anyone playing with marbles as a game. In the 70s other kids I'd see with them would more than likely use them via a slingshot to torment other kids.

When I was at school the normal games involved accuracy in rolling the marble into a chalk circle on the ground,

or into a small hole in the ground.

Those were gentle games with pretty glass marbles.

One lucky lad had a marble that was twice the normal size.

It was salvaged from a monster sized vehicle ball bearing.

It was a bright shiny indestructible ball bearing.

Any pretty glass marble that rolled across the playground and against a wall was fair game for a destruction derby.

Happy days - for some of us.
