olieviya
I have a problem with Windows Update. I get to the page and the green bar starts moving but instead of then getting a list of available updates all I get is this error: [Error number: 0x80240030] The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. For self-help options: Frequently Asked Questions Find Solutions Windows Update Newsgroup For assisted support options: Microsoft Online Assisted Support (no-cost for Windows Update issues) Read more about steps you can take to resolve this problem yourself. Also I searched for solutions to Error number: 0x80240030 and followed all the instructions provided but nothing seems to work. Any ideas anybody? Moderators rridgely Posted January 9, 2006 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2006 Download this: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System...ial-a-fix.shtml Open if up and click the first box on the right that says "fix windows updates". Then press the go button and let it do its thing. Once its finished see if windows update will work.
Tarun
Actually, hit the double green checkmark in DAF and let it do everything. Sometimes this can be fixed by using the Shell registration checkmark. Sometimes it can be fixed by using DjLizard's repair permissions script.
