zjj5
I ran the Erase Free Space program and it filled up my hard drive and now it seems to be stuck on Zero KB remaining on the Hard Drive. It's been stuck on it for a couple hours now. Also, I can't open any of my documents. I need some help, badly. Please! Wait, it just popped up to 45 KB but it's taking forever. Should I just let it keep going?
kroozer
If Erase Free Space seems to have completed yet stalled, try deleting this folder or file . .
Moderators Nergal Posted November 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2012 Oops Kroozer this is for Mac. http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner-for-mac/using-ccleaner-for-mac/wiping-free-disk-space Note: Wiping free space can take several hours. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. kroozer
Oops Kroozer this is for Mac. Yup, my big blunder. It's been a long day. Thanx.
Moderators hazelnut Posted November 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2012 CCMac uses the OS.X built in mechanism. It will probably leave a temporary file somewhere taking the free space when the process is interrupted. That is why in CCMac it is not possible to cancel the operation. Let it run.
