Doctor Jazz
I have installed the latest version of Ccleaner in my Windows 8 (x64) computer. When I click the icon to scan for and delete internet traces, the scanning process hangs on 2%. I've never had problems with Ccleaner before. Can someone please tell me why it is hanging under Windows 8? Thanks
Winapp2.ini
Please wait until V3.25, as that'll be the first release since Windows 8 Proper, and the devs will likely have fixed Windows 8 related bugs. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Doctor Jazz
Thanks for the reply. I see that we are on 3.24.1850 at present. Do you have any idea of when 3.25 might be released?
Moderators Nergal Posted November 14, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 14, 2012 most likely december, (released monthly) however i don't have any issues cleaning my win8 ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Probably about two weeks from now, as CCleaner is generally released towards the end of each month. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Paramore971
+1 to this post. I've never had issues with CCleaner either so I'm hoping the bugs will be fixed in the next version for Windows Eight.
