djot
Hi, reproduce: 1. analyze => list shows up 2. switch to summary results =>short summary is shown 3. analyze again 4. try to go back to list view ... you can not! You stay in summary view 5. You have to close and restart CCleaner, to get in the list again (after analyzing for sure) cheers djot
Winapp2.ini
I was unable to reproduce this on my machine. I right clicked to view more detailed results, and the expected behavior presented itself. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators DennisD Posted October 5, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 5, 2012 Hi djot. I can't reproduce that either although I'm using XP. I tried various entries in the "Summary" window, but each time after following your actions above, I could return to the "Summary" window with no problems. I wonder if this is a Win8 64bit issue, as the official documentation doesn't actually mention Widows 8 ... http://www.piriform....em-requirements ... and the "Changelog" for the most recent version of CCleaner simply states "Improved performance for Windows 8" ... http://www.piriform....5/ccleaner-v323 The devs do read all threads, so I'm sure they'll pick up on this one. Guest Keatah
I, too, had no problem going back and forth. And I'm not sure I'd call this a bug. More a matter of convention and semantics. Is it possible the OP is expecting to see a counterpart of the [<-View summary results] button? One that says [View detailed results->] perhaps? Of course, right clicking brings up the option to view detailed results. I just see an inconsistency here, a click-button for one and right-click menu for the other. But then again, when looking at a detailed view, you typically use the summary to get to the general section and go from there. Clicking on a section to see it in further detail. And clicking on the button to return. To see all detail I would just pick a category/section and then the red [X] in the search box, this gives me a full list. Although I find the full list impressively long, it's tedious to go through. Just narrow it down in the summary screen is what I do. I believe the OP wants two buttons to rapidly toggle back and forth. Am I right?
Moderators Nergal Posted October 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2012 can someone with a live win8 see if this is occuring ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Winapp2.ini
Just tried it on Win8 x64... No problems. I think perhaps he is referring to the fact there's no button for this, rather, it's a context menu option instead. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Super Fast
Tried it on my 32 Bit 7 & I was able to switch back after this. No problems... Does this bug still occur if you: - Create a new user & run CCleaner under the new user? - Repeat the steps listed in Safe Mode? To the posters above saying it is a button he wants... If you look at screenshot 2, there are no results listed (that I can see), hence no way to return. Though, it would help if the screenshot were a tad longer, so I could tell for sure.
