rjo98
I know defraggler has the move large files to end of drive type thing, but sometimes you have folders of files that you'd want to move to the end of disk for the same reason as you would large files. I don't know of a way to do that with the current software. Does anyone know if a way exists?
spongman
i'd love to see this, also.
TechHarmony
I also would like to see this feature added. For Example, I would use it to move my ERDNT registry backup files to the end of the drive - since under normal circumstances, I rarely refer to those files, being as they are emergency use only data. I would also like to put my Restore point System Volume Information files at the back for same reason, that they are written only once per day and read from only in case of emergency. Thanks! rjo98
Yeah, that'd be another great use for it too! Guessing it's very low on their list, or not even on their list though. Maybe someone from Piriform will chime in and let us know.
Moderators mta Posted October 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2012 I'd like to add support for this feature. I have folders with files that change very little if at all, like movies and ISO images. Moving these sort of folders out of the way(regardless of their individual file sizes) would be a great feature. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. TechHarmony
Thanks Piriform, for the v 2.11 "Added right-click Move File to end of Drive feature." I think it would still be great to be able to mark a FOLDER as well -- such as the System Volume Information folder. Moderators Nergal Posted October 23, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 23, 2012 folders don't really play into clusters like that iirc ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
