System font cache

Recently, perhaps with the latest or next-to-latest version of ccleaner, I have noticed that every 3rd or 4th time I run ccleaner it dumps the system font cache which is rather large, usually 42-46 MB. I have not noticed any problems connected with this.

 

I've never noticed this before. I rarely do anything with fonts, other than read them. Can anyone shed any light on this?

 

Windows 7, 64-bit, primary browser Firefox, Thunderbird for email

Untick "Font Cache" if you have it enabled, see screenshot:

I'm running 3.21. Yes, I understand I can disable the Font Cache option, I was just curious as to why such a large cache was showing up for removal.
