thepilot
Hi @all, first of all you designed a nice tool. But: The update routine you use is the worst I ever saw in my life. It ist such a kind of superfluous action to force the user to open a browser, to download a new version and to install the setup routine every time you do a little version step. By the way Why do you release (felt) thousands of thousands versions? And why don't use an inline update routine instead? Just pressing "update" the rest should be done by the program. Why do you waste the time of your users? I really get in rage every time your wonderful program does such stupid, senseless and absolutely awful things. Please try to improve the usability of the process I only registered here to tell you about this annoying fact. Regards The Pilot

Moderators Andavari Posted June 24, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2012 CCleaner Pro has an auto-update feature as perfectly detailed on the official download page comparing the differences between free vs pro.
thepilot
Nice answer. I can count hundreds of freeware tools, that use the auto-update feature too. Will there be any kind of chance this function will migrated to the free version?
Moderators hazelnut Posted June 25, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 25, 2012 I know it's what folk would like in the free version, but Piriform have to make money somehow in order to fund the development of the free tools that they give to us.
