jasimon9
I know my machine has a lot of "c" on it. But I am nervous about checking the application boxes because I can't tell what is removed and am concerned it might be something that adversely impacts the operation of the application. For example, what is removed for Adium, for Quicksilver or for Mail? As an illustration, I would not normally remove browser cache, history, or cookies unless I had a specific reason; not to just "clean up." It would help to know specifically what the application clean up functions do. In particular I would be looking for removal of orphaned files, that are left over from an application that has been uninstalled. But it appears that CC for Mac has not yet caught up with the CC for Windows capabilities.
Moderators Nergal Posted June 10, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 10, 2012 so far I don't believe there is a rule export in the mac version, but we try to get the developers to provide some guidance in this ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
