Newbie with C Clean

Recommended Posts

:) I just downloaded C Cleaner and ran it. I also have Iolo System Mechanic and PC Doc to clean the register. When I ran the register cleaner in CC, I got a HUGE list, mostly unused extention.

How do I get rid of them, do I need them, how come the other programs did not find these?

I am just a tad bit afraid of doing some harm and I would love to have some help in this matter.

Many thanks,

Guy Henderson

First make sure you go to options> advanced> make sure there is a check in the box for "Show prompt to backup registry issues" Then start the scanning of your registry once its done the issues found will be backed up if you choose "yes" So if you have any problems you can always restore the registry file by double clicking it and clicking "yes"

You can safely remove them.

Windows is quite stupid, for some reason, everytime it encounters a new extension it adds that extension to the registry.

Hi there,

I am a new user of CCleaner and I find this tool very useful.

It has some actions to be perfected but for this reason it is only 2.09.600 version we have time to wait and the developers time to work.

Totally for me it is a very good job and i want to congratulate the "workers" but always it is a but..

I am using the CCleaner on my computer with System mechanic from Iolo, it is a licensed software, and after using CCleaner the Antivirus Iolo ( part from System mechanic package) must be reinstalled.

How I can avoid such an action?

Any suggestion would be appreciated!!

Thank you and thanks to god that such things exists and always it is a correction action to do.

Thanks again.

Have a nice way to perfection.
