Moderators hazelnut Posted March 22, 2012 Author Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2012 Either they hire you for being sensible or they don't hire you 'cause they think you are out of the loop (Even if I had a Facebook account I certainly wouldn't give the login details to anyone.) Winapp2.ini
i wouldn't even be willing to use a company computer on the company network to show it to them. I'd use my phonoe and its 4g connection, and only if I really wanted that job. I think my facebook is public anyway. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

login123
Interesting quote from the article. "Sears Holdings Inc. spokeswoman Kim Freely said using a Facebook profile to apply allows Sears to be updated on the applicant's work history. The company assumes "that people keep their social profiles updated to the minute, which allows us to consider them for other jobs in the future or for ones that they may not realize are available currently," she said." Poor Kim. Poor sears. Victim of perceptual limitations ... and weak "spin management" skills. Winapp2.ini
No, but only because Mark requires the privacy settings for employee password to be set to "Friends of Friends" But you don't automatically become friends with Mark. login123
Hazel, you were (again) way ahead on this one. The issue has been all over the national news here in the last week or so. Before long employers will want to send a team to inspect your medicine cabinet, library, laundry room and trash bin. To make sure you don't have gang affiliations. Uh-oh, what if they want a list of forum memberships ... hadn't thought of that till just now.
