Have cookies all sorted in the two windows. Now what?

Recommended Posts

The extra info is just trying to eliminate every possibility, although it would be useful if one of the guys running a Mac can confirm that CCleaner actually is removing cookies, because there's a distinct lack of other posts in the Mac section regarding cookies.

Maybe even have a quick wander onto the following sites, where I picked up, and subsequently deleted, some of Jerry's cookies ...

"1000awesomethings.com"

"247RealMedia.com"

"1and1.com"

That looks right, like I said

Be sure you've actually quit Firefox and haven't just closed the running windows of the browser (check finder or whatever Apple is calling it now)

also it says in the report cleaning cancled, I assume that is only in the example shots and that you aren't seeing that everytime (or canceling evertime)

It won't do anything until the browser is CLOSED.

It probably says cleaning canceled because I forgot to close the browser that time.

Are we out of ideas? Did I not download the latest version for Mac?

I am going to repeat

Adobe Flash Trash

Apologies to Dennis that I never noticed his suggestion until his reply in post #16.

Aplogies if I missed it, BUT I have not noticed a response to this from jryberg.

Firefox under Windows suffers from Flash cookies AND NEVER SHOWS THEM AS SUCH - they are listed in the MultiMedia secrion of Applications,

which is much further down below the browsers.

Multimedia section of Applications?

Much further down in the browsers?

I don't know what you mean. What if I just deleted all cookies?

What if I just deleted all cookies, even the ones I want to keep?

How bad would that be?

Dennis, Hazelnut, Everyone,

I finally just clicked through the cookies (it was tedious) and deleted maybe 150 or more.

So thanks for trying. It still could have been something here that would have been obvious to you, but not to me.

Jerry

I had a similar experience until I thought about the situation as being similar to a page that needs to be refreshed or reloaded in order to see the changes. The next time I cleaned, instead of going straight to Options, I closed CCleaner, reopened it, and then selected Options. All of the cookies that had been listed under "Cookies to Delete" were no longer listed.

I hope this works for you.
