pwillener
I have a number of cookies that I want to keep because they are on sites that I regularly visit. Now a large numer of them have two versions: domain.suffix www.domain.suffix Question: is it necessary to keep both (or all, as some have also other prefixes than www), or is the domain name alone enough for Ccleaner to keep everything with that domain name? pwillener
Answering my own question. Did a little experiment. There were two cookies for Firefox: search.microsoft.com and www.microsoft.com In Cookies to keep I have specified microsoft.com, but not search.microsoft.com or www.microsoft.com After running Ccleaner, both cookies were gone. So the answer is: I have to keep the full URL specification, not only the domain name.
Eldmannen
FYI the "suffix" is called a TLD which stands for "Top-Level Domain".
