espressoguy
I truly apologize if this question has been answered. I ran the "wipe Free Space" option in ccleaner. I fell asleep and woke up in the morning to my computer shut off. When I turned it on I was horrified to find it started with the "check disk" feature in windows seven. After it went through the process my laptop was fine but now I am afraid to use the wipe freespace option for fear it will delete my hard drive. Please tell me how to use wipe freespace without harming my laptop.

Alan_B
Hazel Does this actually work. ? Method 1 (Automatically wipe when cleaning): Does it apply to the System partition only, or would it apply to other partitions that hold installed Applications ? Using Method 2 (Manually wipe with Drive Wiper): I observe that by default Tools / Drive Wiper shows that all Drives are UN-ticked and the Wipe button is greyed out, hence no clue is given upon which of my remaining 7 partitions would be attacked by the Automatic Method 1.
