2nd base
Does anyone know where one can locate any leftovers from a MSE uninstall...that didn't uninstall everything....because if it did then CCleaner wouldn't have a little tick box for it asking me if I want to clean it? Windows 7 Home Premium, btw. Thanks.
nodles
Some programs/entries might be still available after uninstalling, because some of entries may be located for example in %UserProfile% or somewehere where the "main" folder ain't/can't be deleted. Do you use Winapp2.ini-file? There's this entry, so you could check your folder at "%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware". Moderators Andavari Posted January 5, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 5, 2012 Although what's listed below is for XP, it should help you to find them with your newer Windows version: * All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware * All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Security Client * Program Files\Microsoft Security Client Tip: MSE is one of the very few security related programs that can be uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller without causing issues!
