What is cleaned from new Path Environment

TechHarmony

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just downloaded the 3.12 (portable release, so I can test) CCleaner and ran the /export cmdline to look at what the NEW Path Environment cleaning does.

But, I confess, I do not understand what that indicates it will do.

Can someone perhaps expand one what this really does?

[Global]
Revision=2040
...
...
[Environment Path]
ID=1041
LangSecRef=3004
LangRef=3153
SpecialKey1=N_EX_ENVIRONMENT_PATH

Thx.

I also wonder what it removes, and enabling it and using Analyze doesn't reveal anything in the CCleaner window. I hope in the future Piriform would at least explain new features in the Announcements and/or have the Docs site up-to-date explaining things when a new version is available for downloading.

yes it links back here because I agree with that this feature needs explanation, and I hotlinked here so to keep the issue in one place (I've been editing that post for easy access but I'd posted it day one)

no official word yet, & I've not yet had time to test it on a virtualbox
