proxyx
Hello, I would like to make the following suggestions for the awesome Speccy software: - Realtime TCP connections information in the Current TCP Connections section (Similar to TCPView). - New Autorun section that shows whats starting with windows (Similar to Autoruns). - New functionality to allow Speccy to start with windows minimized to the system tray with an icon that is able to show network activity, cpu activity, etc (customizeable by the user. See Networx for an example) - New functionality to display hard drive utilization down to the file level and update in real time (see Treesize) Thanks for reading. Winapp2.ini
The developers read all the threads, even if they don't always speak, so maybe one day winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Overtkill
I second the startup function idea. To have Speccy to be able to show, disable, delete, and REORDER startup apps in the various registry locations and the startup folder would be beyond awesome to me. Thanks for reading. -Overt. Thanks for reading. -Overt. for disable and delete you can use ccleaner, the devs don't really like to have overlap in apps, but it may still happen ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. back_track
It would be great when speccy also show die mac adress from the networkcards. And information over USB devices and controllers, a external output api for e.g. widget ....
GuilhermeE20
Missing feature for Speccy: informations about the media (DVD or CD) inside the optical driver like size, free space, manufacturer etc... Thank you!
thany
How about detecting support for modern CPU features: VT-x, VT-d, AES-NI, TXT, XD, Turbo Boost, vPro, Speed Step. I'm sure the AMD front has other features that are (or should be) detectable. (although "Virtualization" is in the list, it only says enabled (or disabled). It doesn't seem to differentiate between VT-x and VT-d) Also, on Intel platforms since Core 2 (iirc), there is no discrete "bus speed". There's a DMI (Direct Meda Interface) that has a certain bandwidth expressed in GT/s. Just like HyperTransport in AMD systems.

Moderators Augeas Posted November 26, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 26, 2011 Absolutely not. This has nothing to do with the spec of the pc. If you want to know who makes the CD/DVD, or it's capacity, look at the label. Or use the excellent Start/My Computer thingy that the nice Mr Gates has sweated over for you. Or if you really must know use one of those geeks programs that tells you that Mitsubishi makes those cd's you buy in Poundland (they probably don't, I just made that up). I thnk that some of the requests for Speccy are going way out of er, spec. It's a pc system spec program, not a replacement for the Enterprise's master console. ba_yu
Hi, I just try this program and like to suggest some things to be added in the Summary Page: 1. Add processor speed in CPU Currently on my system it says "Intel Pentium 4 531" Would be better if it shows "Intel Pentium 4 531 3.0 GHz @ 3.0 GHz" (showing the stock speed and overclocked speed) 2. Add summary of SPD module in RAM Currently on my system it says "3.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 266MHz (4-4-4-12)" Perhaps showing all installed modules? "Slot1: 1024 MBytes DDR2 PC2-5300 (333 MHz) Slot2: 1024 MBytes DDR2 PC2-4300 (266 MHz) Slot3: 1024 MBytes DDR2 PC2-6400 (400 MHz)" (need info if 3 = 2 + 1 or 3 = 1 + 1 + 1) 3. Add BIOS info in Motherboard Currently on my system it says "ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5LD2-VM (LGA 775) 49 °C" Could be added with BIOS info like this "ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5LD2-VM (LGA 775) 49 °C American Megatrends Inc. ver. 0508 date. 03/17/2006" (sometimes BIOS date could be use to indicate that the pc is quite old and need to be replace, useful for next year procurement in a company, or as a self reference) 4. Add SMART status for each harddrives Currently on my system it says "195GB Seagate ST3200820AS ATA Device (SATA) 46 °C 293GB Maxtor Maxtor 6V300F0 ATA Device (SATA) 46 °C" You could add SMART status like this "195GB Seagate ST3200820AS ATA Device (SATA) SMART Status Good 46 °C 293GB Maxtor Maxtor 6V300F0 ATA Device (SATA) SMART Status Good 46 °C" (i think smart status could tell if the drives need to be backed up and replaced asap, right?) Ok, that's all for now I'll wait for the new and improved version of Speccy
