Tom AZ
Does Avast 6 Free include self-protection -- or is that something that would have to be controlled with a firewall?
Moderators Andavari Posted October 1, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2011 Avast from my knowledge has had strong self-protection since the 4.8.x days when I first started using it so yes even 6.x will protect it's own files. Note that I no longer use Avast, however when I tried out v6 I did notice it had self-protection - as any modern AV should!
