Errase index.dat and .log files.

In XP SP2 the function "Systeminfo" will be damaged if:

"C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\OfflineCache\index.dat" is errased.

One should be cautious with all .dat and .log files in XP SP2. Many problems could be solved or become clear by consulting the .log files. For example: if installation of any application gives problems later on, the consulting of the setup logs can be of great help by solving the problem(s). See the Microsoft sites (problems with MSOffice applications for example).

I'm sorry, made mistakes: it is "ERASE index.dat en *.log files" and on top of that the correct path is "C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\OfflineCache\index.dat".
