Moderators DennisD Posted June 23, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 23, 2011 I didn't know that either, but it reminds me of when we bought an Amiga 500 for my son. At the time just about every town had it's computer club where folk would go every Saturday morning armed with a computer and a pack of blank disks, and the outfits who provided the "games" had similar dramatic names to those mentioned in the report. Mind you, we never frequented these dens of iniquity.

Moderators Andavari Posted June 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2011 I always thought the "origin" of "hacking" was when someone was "hacking and coughing" when they were sick. That word has many meanings across generations, and isn't always computer/Internet related.
