Jorge Martins
Hi all, Since I have updated CCleaner to version 3.06, when I clean the registry, it deletes Google Chrome update entrys. So, when I try to check for updates to google chrome, I receive a message saiyng that the server is not available (error 3). To fix it, I have to reinstall Google Chrome but then when using CCleaner, there it goes again! Does anyone know a way to fix it? Thanks, Jorge
Moderators Andavari Posted May 17, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2011 Exclude the registry key location in CCleaner: Options->Exclude Or, if it's showing up in the registry cleaner's list after scanning with it: Right click and select Exclude
Moderators Nergal Posted May 17, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2011 Don't clean the registry in one fell swoop, Obviously you weren't looking at what the entries were and whether you needed them or not. Best advice follow my signature and do what Andavari stated in his post, to make sure you never accidentally delete those entries. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
