Moderators rridgely Posted April 26, 2011 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2011 I'm beyond pissed about this. I'm 100% done with PSN now. Once its back up I'm deleting all my stuff and renewing my xbox live. Sounds to me like these hackers basically got 100% access to their servers and then they waited a week to tell us they might have got our credit card info? I would sell my PS3 but I need uncharted 3...
Winapp2.ini
Yeah, this is some serious business... in before the class action suit against sony for reimbursement for fraudulent charges! Moderators hazelnut Posted May 1, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2011 They are starting to restore services on it's 'kidnapped' network Seems like they will offer a sweetener as a way of saying sorry Sony says that it will compensate them once the Playstation Network is restored with several offers including a free 30 day subscription to the Playstation Plus premium service, 30 free days on the Music Unlimited service and currently unnamed free "PlayStation entertainment content". http://www.neowin.net/news/sony-to-begin-restoring-playstation-network-this-week Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com

login123
+1 for Rridgely. Done with'em. In fact, have purchased no sony product since they created their rootkit distribution system some years ago. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. Moderators Andavari Posted May 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 2, 2011 I never entered any credit card on PSN, and don't use PSN either other than it annoyingly auto-loading the default page whenever opening the web browser but I quickly go elsewhere and don't even bother with it. And as far as hackers knowing email, street address, name and that stuff -- well so many sites and networks have been hacked I think allot of peoples info is already known anyway. Tr3bg0D
IMHO, people should not send private info on an unencrypted network. If you don't know, don't do it.

login123
In case someone didn't know... If you think your credit card is compromised, call the company about it and see if they will issue a new one for you. Most will send you a new card, with a new number, for free. They are willing to do so because it saves them money to avoid tracking down and fixing fradulent claims. Only inconvenience is that you will be without the card for a few days. Moderators Andavari Posted May 5, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2011 You being sarcastic?? I think he means PC gaming is infinitely better (which it is.) AJ Not being sarcastic at all. My biggest gripe about PC gaming is everything has to be just right for it to work, the proper graphics card, oh you need DirectX v#.#., etc., whereas with a gaming console pop in the disc and it just works. Moderators Andavari Posted May 5, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2011 I'm not really into war games. I'm not so much either but in-between 1/2 of the movies where there's actual gameplay Metal Gear Solid 4 is rather awesome but way too limiting with the amount of gameplay. Corona
Blechh. I'm glad I never advanced beyond PS1. Little kids who grew up with PS2 & 3 must be hitting their 20s by now and feeling a bit disenfranchised. Hope & Change leaves a metallic taste in their mouths. Moderators rridgely Posted May 17, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2011 Sony is actually offering up some pretty good stuff for free. Infamous is an awesome game and I encourage anyone who hasn't gotten it yet to grab it while its free, its like GTA but your a superhero with lightning powers who can climb buildings. I played through it last year and its one of the better new games out there for the ps3. The others I couldn't care less about. (little big planet is supposed to be great, but its not my kind of game) I'm done with ps3 online anyway though. I've been using my xbox now and it really is no comparison when it comes to online. I will continue to use my ps3 for single player games though(getting LA NOIRE today!). http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/lanoire/index.html
