Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

If that's the registry key it uses I'd say use the "HKLM\Software\Riot Games\League of Legends" one because if someone doesn't have that game installed but instead other Riot Games it would needlessly show up in CCleaner but wouldn't be installed and nothing would be cleaned.

Well, they have only one game (League of Legends) at the moment. But anyways it should be changed to "HKLM\Software\Riot Games\League of Legends".

Anecdote: We could probably make an entry that deletes the whole game from your system, and it would still break the game for people less often than Riot does with a patch.

Haters gonna hate. :D

Haven't played in a while though.

NEW ENTRY

[Audacity*]

LangSecRef=3023

Detect=HKCU\Software\Audacity

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\\Audacity|audacity.cfg

There is an Audacity entry in CCleaner that is listed under 'Internet'. That entry doesn't remove Recent Files from the program. I think that entry should be removed from CCleaner.

Gonna have to vote against that removal because as Winnie Asked:

What else is in Audacity's CFG?

A whole lot:

The only thing though is it's audacity.cfg, not audacity.ini. So I don't see how CCleaners inability to allow us to clean ini's would matter much, albeit there isn't much or any difference between the two types of settings files.

Nergal from your post it looks like you're using the portable build. I wonder how different that is compared to a normal installed build. I personally use a much older portable build which doesn't use any .CFG files.

nope, no difference (AFAIK), cfg file is not part of the Portable experience (portable launcher drops the cfg file in %appdata% and picks it back up when exit

It resets GUI size to its defaults.

that's a gross mischaracterization saad. from the looks of my 2 cfg files above, all/many settings are saved in that file

it sounds like you use only the default settings so aren't seeing the loss of settings deleting this file might cause

you should add an entry for 'Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center' which i think replaces IntelliPoint and IntelliType. under these 2 regkeys it creates a subkey for every executable file you run. the only problem with deleting them is if you set any app-specific settings you will also lose those settings. i wasnt sure if these keys also exist for IntelliPoint/IntelliType so i detected it by the install directory instead of the regkeys. thanks and keep up the good work.

why would one consider app specific settings as junk, they must be manually set so who would want them cleaned every time ccleaner, or any time, ran

Agreed, plus its not saving you any space or cleaning any sensitive MRU entries

BTW you should change to warning to "This will only delete any app-specific settings."
