Moderators Andavari Posted July 28, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) Found a FileKey1 error in the path. Assuming this is for Firefox? Don't know if it's for it and Thunderbird too, but I don't use Thunderbird and don't know it's path. I didn't notice it the other day either since I just copied it from winapp2.ini to change to the SpecialDetect, how we didn't catch this ages ago, anyways the fix: Error: [Recovered File Fragments*] LangSecRef=3026 SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla|*.chk|RECURSE Correction: [Recovered File Fragments*] LangSecRef=3026 SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox|*.chk|RECURSE ------------------------------------------- Pale Moon updates, now also including Detect2 since the Pale Moon registry key can be removed and it will still work normally: [Pale Moon - Adblock Plus Backups*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*\adblockplus|patterns-backup*.ini [Pale Moon - Bookmark Backups*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*\bookmarkbackups|*.json [Pale Moon - Corrupt SQLites*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles|*.corrupt|RECURSE [Pale Moon - Crash Reports*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Crash Reports|*.*|RECURSE [Pale Moon - extensions.log*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|extensions.log [Pale Moon - Lock Files*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|*.lock [Pale Moon - Updates*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%localappdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Pale Moon\updates|*.*|RECURSE [Pale Moon - webappsstore.sqlite*] LangSecRef=3026 Detect=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|webappsstore.sqlite Edit: If anyone has copied the Pale Moon cleaners listed above I finished updating them at 3:31 AM Center Standard Time, U.S. on Sunday, July 29, 2012. So if you copied them to use them before that time, you'll need to re-copy them. Winapp2.ini
You're going to want to make those Detect2s into DetectFiles winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Alan_B
How about an optional Win-2k-app2.ini download ? This would contain all the existing entries which become deleted from the normal Winapp2.ini when superseded due to incorporation in more recent versions of CCleaner.EXE This could be a benefit to the users of Windows 2000 which apparently is no longer compatible with CCleaner v 3.21.1767. See http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=36384 Additionally, some-one with special interest in Windows 2000 might like to :- export the detection targets of each new version of CCleaner.EXE ; compare with the targets of version 3.20.???? ; and adapt as relevant and append to Win-2k-app2.ini How about a Poll to determine how useful these might be ? Moderators Andavari Posted July 29, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2012 You're going to want to make those Detect2s into DetectFiles Good spotting that, I hadn't noticed. Will fix it. Edit: How about an optional Win-2k-app2.ini download ? Can't forget there's Win9x/Me users who are stuck forever using v2.36.1233.

Moderators Nergal Posted July 29, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2012 back on subject for the "stripped of name" Firefox entries I add ;Firefox into the entry on it's own line ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted July 30, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2012 FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Amazon\Kindle|Logs That's missing something at the end, Is it suppose to be? FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Amazon\Kindle\Logs|*.* or is there actually an extension-less file named "Logs"?
FreddeVries
@Andavari If I use Kindle for PC it creates some text files, blabla.txt in that folder. This works: FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Amazon\Kindle\Logs|*.txt|RECURSE I shall edit the entry.

Winapp2.ini
Shame on them. Moderators Andavari Posted July 31, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2012 As an AVG user those sound interesting. Unfortunately what I have it clean separates all the stuff CCleaner does by default, and goes well beyond what CCleaner will never do by default, but I can't post on the forum. AVG wouldn't like it at all!!!
