somespirit
Delete Windows update files Warning If you delete the folder for each update, the corresponding Windows update cannot be uninstalled. Consider the effect that this will have on the computer before you delete the Windows update files. To delete Windows update files, follow these steps: Delete only those %Windir%/$NtUninstallKB number$ folders that were created more than a month ago as backup files for Windows updates. Do not delete those that were created within the last 30 days. To delete the download cache for Windows updates, delete all the folders in the %Windir%\SoftwareDistribution\download folder that were created more than 10 days ago. Delete the following log files in the %Windir% folder:kb*.log setup*.log setup*.old setuplog.txt winnt32.log set*.tmp Source - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956324 it is perfectly safe to remove all files in that folder .......as microsoft says

Moderators Andavari Posted April 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) I've been using this for awhile with no ill effects, however it needs testing by other people: [Microsoft Security Essentials (Old Definitions)]* Edit: Warning: I've found out using these with BleachBit will purge even new definitions if MSE is turned off. While this worked good with the previous version of MSE, it causes MSE v4 to re-download new definitions even though they already exist, so I've removed the cleaning routine. If anyone is using it in winapp2.ini I'd recommend removing it from it. Edited April 30, 2012 by Andavari

Darned if it wasn't simple. I was looking in the windows folder in the reg. Didn't rebuild though. I made two quick ones and nothing was remembered from the program. I make a lot of movies from baseball games though so who knows. It may eventually start another list after a reboot. I haven't rebooted yet.
