Not sure if this can be / needs to be expanded to detect Google Update installed in %PF%. Not clear how to install Google Update nor Chrome SxS--what I use--for all users to begin with. In fact, I wouldn't mind a pointer, if you can give one... ?

Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%|DCBC2A71-70D8-4DAN-EHR8-E0D61DEA3FDF.ini

To my knowledge this may only clean the offending .INI file on Windows XP systems.

What it is:

It's like a cache of what Windows XP displays for the properties of videos you've highlighted to see the properties of in Explorer, or played such as .AVI videos. It seems each video that Windows XP is capable of displaying the properties of adds about 4KB to the offending .INI file, and over time it can grow to a large size.

Hello everyone, I've read these forums (especially this thread) alot and for a long time and now I've finally registered and this is my first post. I've used CCleaner since.. don't even remember anymore but for many years. :)

I had problems updating Comodo Firewall on one PC, it got stuck in the same section while installing the update. I got it fixed by removing update temps from Comodo's folders, so I thought I'd add the entry to winapp2.ini also and post it here. This entry has been tested (on Windows 7 64bit).

NEW ENTRY

DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security
Default=False
FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security|*.tmp
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Temp\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Data\TempFiles|*.*

Regrading DCBC2A71-70D8-4DAN-EHR8-E0D61DEA3FDF.ini. -- it looks like this is the Windows Media Player (version 10, 11, 12) history.
