Moderators Andavari Posted June 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted June 27, 2014 Program's versions 1 & 2 are obsolete. Only thing is some people won't like changes and updates in programs and will refuse to upgrade, so it shouldn't be a problem to allow cleaning of old versions. nodles
Old programs/versions are definitely not obsolote. As Nergal said it and some new version of a program might not support older OS (for example XP etc).

Why is there only a detectfile2? If you change it to detectfile does it disappear? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. sergej.al
I use the 360Browser (Chrome based), which is very fast and also very nice looking. Since CCleaner doesn't recognize it as a Browser I had to manually write some lines to keep my PC clean. [360 Browser - Cache] Section='360Browser LangRef=Internet Cache Detect=HKCU\Software\360Browser\Browser Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default\Cache|*.* FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|*-journal* ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default\|switcher-journal ExcludeKey2=FILE|%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default\|Web data-journal ExcludeKey3=FILE|%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default\|Login data-journal FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default\Local Storage|*.* [360 Browser - History] Section='360Browser LangRef=Internet History Detect=HKCU\Software\360Browser\Browser Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Archived History FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Visited Links FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Current Tabs FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Top Sites FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|History Provider Cache FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Network Action Predictor [360 Browser - Cookies] Section='360Browser LangRef=Cookies Detect=HKCU\Software\360Browser\Browser Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Cookies [360 Browser - Session] Section='360Browser LangRef=Session Detect=HKCU\Software\360Browser\Browser Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Current* FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\360Browser\Browser\User Data\Default|Last* I had to ' before 360 because it wouldn't recognize it beginning with a number -.- If there is someone else using this browser maybe he/she could help by adding or editing some lines and also help me understand the SpecialDetect command and how I can fix the Section name without the quote before. Moderators Andavari Posted July 7, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 7, 2014 I use the 360Browser (Chrome based) It's usually an expected practice to post cleaning routines using: Default=False That way someone won't automatically get something deleted they may want to keep. In my case, I always want the history and cache deleted!

siliconman01
Word and PoperPoint applications are part of Microsoft Office. There should be no seperate entries for these applications, instead they should be under Office 2010 More and Office 2013 More. I suggest that it is best to leave them separate because you can purchase and install Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Access individually without buying the full MS Office 2013.
