MS Search Helper Extension

Newt

Recommended Posts

I notice that MS Search Helper Extension is listed in Applications, but I believe that I don't have this installed.

What is the easiest way to check for the presence of MS Search Helper Extension, just to be sure?

Don't use Firefox or Bing myself so cannot check. I don't see it in IE8

I have looked on my system and can confirm that I don't have the MS Search Helper Extension installed.

CCleaner 3.03.1366 still shows this in the Application list though for me (as also mentioned in the link posted by Andavari above).

Is this a bug?

It shows up for me as well.

It appears to be a typo in the winapp.ini.

[MS Search Helper Extension]
...
Detection=%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Search Enhancement Pack\Search Helper
...

That should be Detect= not Detection=.
