TexasRho83
So I'm trying to wipe my drive and it won't let me - From the simple to Gutmann pass, my C drive is grayed out as is the Wipe button. Please advise.

Welcome to the forum My OS is Vista Ultimate. I see from your link that it's disabled "for safety reasons" - is that an option I can bypass? I plan on wiping and reinstalling Vista Ultimate. Yes C drive is my boot drive and the only drive on that laptop.
Moderators Andavari Posted January 29, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2011 You can only 'wipe free space' on your OS drive whilst using it. You could of course destructively wipe/nuke the drive outside of Windows with tools like DBAN or even CCleaner Portable via a BartPE CD, etc.
