Icedrake
Instead of taking random pictures off of the web and using them as avatars, I decided to create my own, unique avatar in Photoshop. This was the final result (I think you can guess what the"Id" part stands for ): What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas for changes that would make this look better? If anyone wants it, I also have the actual Photoshop file that you can download and edit to fit your needs. Or if anyone wants an avatar like this, tell me the two letters, and the color scheme you want, and I'll be happy to make one for you.

Icedrake
Woo hoo using non-premade avatars is awesome That it is. It gives you a good feeling inside knowing that you're using something that you've created, and not someone else's work.
Moderators DennisD Posted January 18, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2011 Looks nice Ice, and if it wasn't for the fact that I wouldn't recognize myself if I changed my avatar, you could have done one for me.

Icedrake
I'm tempted to try it - send me the PS file please! AJ Will do. The bordering around the actual image and the bordering around the text is extra stuff that I added to make it look nicer and more complete. If you remove those, then you pretty much have an actual photoshop icon. Also, you can add a very, very light blue gradient to the text itself; that will give the light blue gradient that the icon has when Photoshop is loading. Icedrake
Sorry about the double post. Made a green version, I think it looks okay, but I don't like it as much as the blue version; it's just a color preference. I'll definitely be making more color versions. Aha! Here's a red version now. I think I'm starting to get a bit carried away with the color possibilities. Up next is a golden/yellow version. Here it is: Blast, I need something better to do in my free time.

Icedrake
Will do. I'll probably constantly be editing these pictures to make them look better. It's the habit of a perfectionist.
