andrewm
First time I've encountered something CCleaner couldn't fix. Got this message when running the registry cleaner: Application Paths Issue MachInfo.exe - C:\DOCUME~1\Glenda\LOCALS~1\Temp\machinfo.exe HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\MachInfo.exe Any clues as to what to do about it? andrewm
Ever had Quick Heal antivirus installed? Yes - just got confirmation that Quick Heal is currently installed. (It's not my computer, I look after it for a non-tech friend). Are you suggesting that it might be the cause of the problem? I prefer avast myself. Moderators hazelnut Posted January 15, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2011 I believe that entry may belong to Quick Heal. It could just be protecting itself (and perhaps its updates temp folder) and not allowing it to be deleted. Perhaps exclude it in the cleaning or just untick Quick Heal in the ccleaner applications list if it is listed. Moderators Andavari Posted January 15, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2011 From what I've seen searching for it, if it's messed with the machine may not be bootable afterwords so it's probably best left alone. Edit: Of course do some malware scans as that file can be replaced by malware.
