zombiemaster
FIRST, LET ME THANK YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN KNOW , I ACCIDENTLY DELETED MY FOLDER WITH OVER 200 MOVIES IN IT,I LOOKED AROUND THE WEB AT MANY SOFTWARES THAT SAID THEY COULD DO THE JOB BUT THEY DIDNT SEEM QUITE PERFECT FOR SOMEREASON OR OTHER...THEN I FOUND A SMALL REVIEW WRITTEN ON YOURS AND THEY HAD TRIED 20 OTHER PRODUCTS AND SAID YOURS WAS BEST OF ALL... SO I TRIED IT..IT WORKED AWEOSMELY !!!!! IT FOUND THE MOVIES I HAD DELETED...BUT I NOTICED THAT IT HAD FOUND NONE OF THE MOVIES WITH THE .divx file type, ..so i FOUND THE SEARCH BOX AND FIGURED OUT I COULD TYPE IN IT..( THE BOX WAS ABOVE THE LISTED FILES TO BE RECOVERED AND A BIT TO THE RIGHT) ..I TYPED IN THE .DIVX FILE TYPE AND SEARCHED AND IT FOUND THE OTHER 76 MOVIES I WAS MISSING... YES! SO I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR VIDEO RECOVERY WAS SHOWING ONLY AVI AND MPG MOVIES... I HAD TO MAKE IT SHOW THE .DIVX BY MANUAL SEARCH... redhawk
As far as I'm aware DivX videos are stored in an AVI container therefore blind searching for AVI files should theoretically find your DivX clips. Richard S.
Moonbase
Well, he actually has a point: Many are out there actually having the extension ?.divx?. I seem to remember they recommended that a few years ago, and I actually also used it, for a while. (Before switching to .mkv containers.) Adding it might be no harm. Still it seems the zombies have gotten his Shift key, hee hee.
