?10 0
Found this brilliant free music file convertor.I wanted to change my wma files all to mp3 files and it did it easily and quickly.theres a few more other files it converts either way.wav, ogg etc. Go to www.download.com and type in "Switch 1.05" ( without inverted commas) It's a very small download, and so easy to use.Theres no adware/spyware, as I have checked with Webroot Spysweeper and Trend Micro. Good Luck

Moderators Andavari 2 Posted November 5, 2005 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2005 does any of them convert MIDI files to mp3? thanks, tim =) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you by any chance use Winamp you can output them as .wav using the disk writer and then encode them with whatever mp3 encoder you wish. Matt_ 0
I personally use LAME with the RazorLAME U.I to encode my .mp3 files and decode them to the .wav file format. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/LAME/955435184/1 (LAME build 3.97) http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/RazorLame/1011170460/1 (RazorLAME build 1.15) Both freeware and easy to use. http://www.last.fm/user/Matt714

Eldmannen 0
Convert them to Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) instead of MP3. That way you get a smaller file size due to better compression while at the same time get higher quality than you would if used MP3. And Matt_ uses good tools, LAME and RazorLAME are good products. LAME is known as the best. Everyone with knowledge about ripping, encoding/decoding use LAME.
