I would send you to a really good site but it's down at the moment. Its run by a guy who calls himself black viper and he has documented the bare minimum that you need to run windows and what each service does. If I find a link to a working site I'll post it. SSDP and Universal Plug and Play are used for file transfers on things like MSN Messenger and other software. Security Center Indexing Service SSDP Discovery Service System Restore (I turned this off back in what.. February.)
