ishan_rulz
I'm sorry about the way I replied earlier, but no specific release date has been given yet. As per speculations, the BETA should release around next month. Simplicity is hard.

ishan_rulz
EDIT:CC3 is now available! As for the Slim version, there was no Yahoo Toolbar in the regular version. Simplicity is hard.
212eta
EDIT: BETA is now available! As for the Slim version, there was now Yahoo Toolbar in the regular version. a) It is Not BETA.. It is a Stable version 3.00.1303 There is No Slim version (=clean version) anymore! Users are forced to use either the Installer version (Bundled with Chrome Installer) or the Portable version. Aethec
I think the Chrome thing is a small installer that will download the whole Chrome package only if you agree to install it. Not sure, though. Piriform French translator

ishan_rulz
Actually it hardly makes a difference. The check boxes are gonna be there every time you install a new version. One or two extra check boxes don't really bother me. I have Chrome installed anyway. (as a backup browser) I only hope CCleaner will remember previously ticked options. Simplicity is hard. It isn't about having Chrome installed or Not. It is about keeping a CCleaner version Clean. This is what the SLIM version used to BE. CCleaner WAS among the -Few Free Apps- that Offered a Clean Version; a Slim version. Unfortunately, this will be No longer the case...
Aethec
I tried ; if you uncheck the boxes, the installer remembers that. Awesome. (Besides, Piriform can't do a Slim version if Google doesn't want it...) Piriform French translator
Moderators hazelnut Posted October 28, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 28, 2010 I have been told that there will still be the usual slim version without any toolbar etc. It will be on the builds page a little later as is usually the case Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com

Kane3162
Not to detract from the main OP's question (snicker) But has any of the actual staff chimed in on the "Slim" version situation? CDBurnerXP tried to do away with it but the public outcry was great, I even donated just to make sure the SLIM version was reinstated (he didnt have a donate button, we all yelled and he gave us one, AND his steam wish list for games LOL!)! He did reinstate it, with a 3 day lag period from the "Open Candy" (you should try it, smaller size for the installer, but i still dont like it at all) supported installer! Totally willing to donate to keep a "Slim" package, and though I am only one user (but i have talked to my co-workers and friends who agree), I think I will stick with CCleaner_v2.36.1233... even if its indefinitely *** just refreshed the page (loaded it early this morning), you can IGNORE this post as its been said it is coming

Moderators hazelnut Posted October 28, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 28, 2010 This is the last time I will say this as there seems to be a reluctance from any one to accept what I have posted..... I have been told by a member of the Piriform staff that the slim version will be posted on the builds page in a little while. 212eta
Guys, it is Not wheather 400kb or 4kb. It is the fact that CCleaner must have a SLIM (=Clean) version; a version FREE from any kind of 2nd party software. This is particularly important nowadays when more and more Freeware Apps become subject to any kind of 2nd party software. I'm glad that CCleaner -as Mod hazelnut wrote- will post a Slim version soon.
Aethec
If you don't like CCleaner, then don't use it. You don't have to install Chrome. Is two clicks too much? Piriform French translator
212eta
If you don't like CCleaner, then don't use it. You don't have to install Chrome. Is two clicks too much? You still don't get it.-Two clicks or one click is Not the issue. -4kb or 400 kb is Not the issue. The issue is to keep CCleaner clean from 2nd party software. Now that is again available, I will use the v3 SLIM version of CCleaner (like what I did in the past). Sorry, but I like my favorite CCleaner clean from Adware.
