natsumerio
You must have made a mistake. You say that CCleaner's latest version is 2.36.1233, but when I downloaded it (from your own site) it says 2.0.0.0. Please fix this. --- This message was brought to you by honest version numbers. Moderators Nergal Posted October 13, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2010 Where are you seeing that it says 2.0.0.0 ? here is an image of mine ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Are you saying ---> "but when I downloaded it (from your own site) it says 2.0.0.0." that the website you downloaded it from says the 2 series? Or that CCleaner itself is saying it after you installed & ran it?
Moderators DennisD Posted October 13, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 13, 2010 I think you've right clicked the CCleaner Installer, which is Version 2.0.0.0, and read it's properties. That's the version number of the Installer, which is a container for the CCleaner files, not the Version Number of the CCleaner program it installs. If that's what you've done, it's an easy mistake to do, and you won't be the first.
