Avast and Windows XP

I love that you added Avast to CCleaner, but I think there might be a bug when using Windows XP. It doesn't automatically detect Avast when you select "Analyze" or "Run Cleaner." Three other XP users have confirmed this on the Avast Forum.

There was some speculation this might have something to do with the path to the Avast logs being different in XP from Win.7 & Vista, but it's just a theory. It seems to work great in Vista & Win.7.

Can you please tell us where to find the files listed in the "filekey" entries for Windows XP. You may need ask at the avast forum thread so as to get the info for both versions

If indeed these locations are different the CCleaner developers read each thread and your input would help in fixing this problem (if one does exist).

That looks like a lot of manual effort for the wrong result, i.e.

C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Alwil Software/Avast5 I think you mean

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\
