Marc Alexander
Dear people, The next: I did download Recuva and didn't saw (the connected camera) in the disklist. However it's connected cause I see the camera icon in 'Computer'. How can I connect the camera with Recuva? Thanks for answering! Marc
redhawk
If it's an MTP device then Recuva will not be able to access it. Richard S.
Marc Alexander
Thanks for this quick response, I'd looked for it and many people did speak about Recuva to find deleted pictures placed on memory cards. But when it is so MTP is involved, what can I do to solve this problem? Is there by instance another programma to search the photo's? Thanks, Marc
Moderators Nergal Posted September 28, 2010 Moderators Share Posted September 28, 2010 get a cheap card reader for the type of card the camera uses; usually either Compactflash,SD or XD(use this wiki to figure out which card if you don't know) take the card out of the camera and insert it into the reader ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators DennisD Posted September 28, 2010 Moderators Share Posted September 28, 2010 Hi Marc. I bought one of these a year or so ago so that I could load my pictures from my SD card into my computer at USB 2.0 speeds, and so that my daughter could transfer pics from her 8gb SD card, which XP won't recognize. Very cheap. For those functions it's worth every penny, but it also enables Recuva to view the card as a drive, and it therefore works for that reason as well. Integral USB 2.0 Single Slot SD Reader: If your card isn't SD, there may be a similar alternative, but I'm not sure about that one. EDIT: Just found a page with both SD and XD adaptors. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_p_4_0?me=A3AGE3ZJYRAB2V&rh=p_4%3AIntegral&ie=UTF8&qid=1285700304
Moderators Nergal Posted September 28, 2010 Moderators Share Posted September 28, 2010 See I was thinking more along this line http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MRW62E-S2-reader-Microdrive-Hi-Speed/dp/B001P823BK/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1285700903&sr=1-4 (it has cf too jic) Here's one like Dennis suggested but takes 9 types of card (not cf though) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Integral-Mobil-Card-Reader-9-in-1/dp/B000KCLTEO/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1285700903&sr=1-3 ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Reliable make as well. I threw my suggestion in mainly because of the price. I picked mine up for ?1.59. Including postage.
