Winapp2.ini
Hi, and welcome to the forums. As far as my research shows, it is safe to delete the deployment cache [*Java Deployment Cache] LangSecRef=3022 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\java\jre6\bin\java.exe DetectFile=%programfiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe Default=True FileKey1=%appdata%\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%appdata%\Sun\Java\Deployment\javaws\cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%locallowappdata%\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%locallowappdata%\Sun\Java\Deployment\javaws\cache|*.*|RECURSE If you do not already have a winapp2.ini file, please place that in a text file and save it as "winapp2.ini" in your CCleaner directory. If you do have a winapp2.ini file, add that to it. I cannot help with your other requests. Perhaps another forum member could. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

Kand.in.Sky
ORCABROWSER is "only" a new GUI for the Gecko. Folders, Data, handling etc.. is the same as on FireFox. AVANTBROWSER is the same, based on the IE. You can use AVANT on nearly any IE-Version. It works on IE5 just as it works on IE9. it should be not very diffucult to add ORCA support to CC. greetings, #k.

Jerry86
Why CCleaner doesn't support Temp folders ? c:\Documents and Settings\XYZ\Ustawienia lokalne\Temp\ (ustawienia localne = local settings) I noticed that I have there 8gb of trash. I haven't checked my profile folder because I use CCleaner and I thought that i don't have to search manually for trash but unofrtunately i have to. Please add support of temp folders in Windows XP temp/temporary internet folder etc.
Moderators Andavari Posted September 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 24, 2011 It should be cleaning your temp folders. Unless you have some environment variables configured differently. On XP you can find out where your temp folders are mapped to by: 1. Right click: My Computer, and select Properties 2. Click: Advanced (tab) > Environment Variables (button) Or you can input your Temp folder as an Include in CCleaner: 1. You'll first need to open in Windows the 'Folder Options' and then enable the view of 'Hidden Files and Folders' to add your temp path. Remember to undo this setting when done. 2. In CCleaner: 'Options > Include', then select the path you want to clean. 3. Then under 'Cleaner > Windows > Advanced', enable/tick 'Custom Files and Folders' so it will clean your Include path. Recommend using Analyze first though before committing to Delete!
Moderators DennisD Posted September 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 24, 2011 You beat me to it Andavari. Win XP SP3 here, and that temp file is cleaned ... ... however that particular folder is used by Avast occasionally, so I'm wondering if you may have any protected files in that location. Just a thought.

I've used it and I lost my settings in Orca Browser, Tlen.pl Communicator and few other applications In version 3.11 it has been tamed down allot and is safer. However as with any registry cleaner you may or will need to input some exclusions. To learn how to exclude something in the registry cleaner see this post: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=33247&view=findpost&p=199605
Moderators Nergal Posted October 11, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 11, 2011 uncheck only delete window temporary files older than 24 hours it's in options»advanced if the language is opposite in the setting I apologize, I am not on a PC right now ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
