SebastianForJesusChrist
A new IDEA! About Ccleaner. How about this new Idea for a change. Now I know you have the auto clean checkmark on there to auto clean when login to your windows PC. Now a new Idea came to mind! If you would. add "auto clean registry" that would be a new good idea Thanks. Jesus Loves you all! John 3:16.
Aethec
Registry cleaning should not be done automatically - period. I know I sound rude, but a false positive by any Registry cleaning tool can have very, very bad consequences. Piriform French translator
Moderators Nergal Posted August 26, 2010 Moderators Share Posted August 26, 2010 as Aethec pointed out this is not a good idea, and has been oft discussed. for the reasons why, please read my signature ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted August 26, 2010 Moderators Share Posted August 26, 2010 The request for automatic registry cleaning has been requested countless times before, however like already mentioned it's really not such a good thing to practice. While CCleaner has the safest registry cleaner I've ever used I still wouldn't blindly trust it with the Windows registry without first seeing what it wants to remove. mr don
CCleaner has an exact location for the areas it cleans. This is not possible for registry cleaning. Therefore, "Auto-clean" for the registry WILL result in critical parts of windows being deleted & cause problems. Registry cleaning is only to be used when the user can verify each string they remove to ensure CCleaner didn't snag the wrong items for removal...
