Intel buying McAfee

Recommended Posts

Foundstone offers a bunch of free tools, wonder if they will continue to do so? To be sure, many of them are as dangerous as a bomb for me, but still they are useful for IT pros.

I was wondering if this will herald the inclusion of cpu/bios level Antivirus/Firewalls, which is something that's been spoken of for a couple of year. 7.6Billion is quite a lot to spend

I hope not. McAfee makes horrible Antivirus software. I wouldn't want any of their junk anywhere near my machines especially at a cpu/bios level. I don't see this working out for Intel.
