chong67
How does Defraggler defrag lock files or files thats in use? Do those files get ignored? Even if I boot to safe mode, does that help?
eL_PuSHeR
I think DF can't defrag locked files even if you boot to safe mode or from a boot cd. It doesn't even touch MFT. I am not sure about locked files but the MFT part is true.

eL_PuSHeR
So in actual fact it is not a complete defrag? I have to use other software? If your Master File Table (MFT) consist of several fragments and you want to defrag it, yes. Too bad I haven't found any free defragmenter that can do this. Puran Defrag claims it can defragment your MFT and locked files offline, but I have tested it and it doesn't fully defragment the MFT.

chong67
I try PrefectDisk 11 and still, my C drive is still not defrag after doing a bootup to defrag. I am getting my first SSD tomorrow.
