Moderators hazelnut Posted June 22, 2010 Moderators Share Posted June 22, 2010 Check your program files etc for a leftover Opera folder. eL_PuSHeR
Are you using Windows XP? Some Opera folders must reside still under Documents and settings. They don't get deleted because it's user config. Backup and delete them. Then, I guess CC won't detect Opera anymore.
Willy2
It seems Opera does a lousy job un-installing itself. It depends on the embedded script of CC as well. That script tells CC what to look for and what needs to be wiped. If Opera doesn't remove that folder/program and/or that particular registry key CC is looking for then CC thinks Opera is still installed. And then that Opera box keeps popping up. metalj
Are you using Windows XP? If you are, then just delete the Opera folder located at: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\ You might need to enable hidden files and folders (in explorer go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View) Piriform Software User Guides
ident
My ccleaner detects opera browser, even after uninstallation... It's left over crap in the registry, just ignore it, it really does not matter No fate but what we make
rohitgovindraj
Opera can be removed from the list as follows. Go to Appdata in the Users folder in Win 7. Delete all the folders that concern opera.
Moderators Andavari Posted June 13, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 13, 2011 It seems Opera does a lousy job un-installing itself. Most web browsers do, but probably more by design than mistake by leaving behind the user settings.
