Using CCleaner on other XP Accounts

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am very new to this and I can't seem to find an answer on the site. I have successfully installed Ccleaner on my computer and have cleaned my user. However, when I try to log on as other users, I can't seem to find the Ccleaner short cut or the program listed in "all programmes". Have I installed the program incorrectly. I would be grateful for any help.

Many thanks

Yes, I believe CCleaner does that - it installs the shortcut only under the user that installs it.

The easiest solution is just to copy or move the shortcut/folder from the install-user's Programs to All User's Programs folder, i.e.

  • move %USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\CCleaner
  • to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs

  • 2 weeks later...

That is indeed correct and you may want to copy the desktop shortcut if you want that also.

I.E.

* move %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\CCleaner.Ink

* to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\CCleaner.Ink or C:\Users\Public\Desktop\CCleaner.Ink
